SUMMARY:DOMiDLabs // Mind The Gap!- Erzählungen und Fragen von LGBTIQA+ Migrant*innen
DESCRIPTION:Ausstellung\n  \nWie kann das von DOMiD geplante Migrationsmuseum in seiner zukünftigen Dauerausstellung mit Lücken in der eigenen Sammlung umgehen und wie kann/können dann beispielsweise auch die LGBTIQA+ Geschichte(n) der Migrationsgesellschaft erzählt werden? Um diese Fragen anzugehen sind im zweiten Labor des von der Kulturstiftung des Bundes geförderten Projekts DOMiDLabs: Labore für partizipative Museumsgestaltung ein Kurator*innen-Kollektiv bestehend aus Menschen mit Erfahrungen in LGBTIQA+ Zusammenhängen – mit und ohne Migrationsgeschichte –\, Gestalter*innen sowie das DOMiD-Projektteam zusammengekommen. Die Ergebnisse der gemeinsamen Arbeit werden in der Ausstellung Mind The Gap! Erzählungen und Fragen von LGBTIQA+ Migrant*innen präsentiert.Persönliche Geschichten und Erfahrungen thematisieren die bislang vorherrschende Lücke von LGBTIQA+ Perspektiven in der DOMiD-Sammlung. Dieser ist eine Abkürzung der englischen Wörter lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, transgender\, intersex\, queer\, asexual und + für other diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Die deutsche Übersetzung des Begriffs lautet LSBTIQA+. Dieser steht entsprechend für: Lesben\, Schwule\, Bisexuelle\, trans* Personen\, inter Personen\, queere Personen\, asexuelle Personen und + für weitere sexuelle Identitäten oder Geschlechtsidentitäten. \n  \n\n  \nEnglish below\nHow can DOMiD’s planned migration museum deal with gaps in its collection and permanent exhibition? How can then\, for instance\, LGBTIQA+ stories from within the migration society be told? To address these questions\, a curatorial collective\, composed of people with experience in and with LGBTIQA+ community – with and without migration history – as well as exhibition designers and the DOMiD project team\, came together in the second laboratory of the project DOMiDLabs: Making Museum Design Participatory. The DOMiDLabs project is possible thanks to funding from the German Federal Cultural Foundation. The results of their joint work will be presented in the exhibitionMind The Gap!
